New Delhi: The tension at the Line of Control between Indian and Pakistani armies is growing day by day. Even the Brigadier level flag meeting held between India and Pakistan on Monday failed to resolve the problem. Both the armies claimed that they have registered strong protests about the ceasefire violation from the other side.

But after Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh's strong statement of retaliation if ceasefire violations continue, Pakistan has reportedly evacuated several villages on the LoC. According to the sources Pakistan has also deployed and artillery regiment on the border with India even though it has not been officially confirmed. But Pakistani Army said that some village has been evacuated to protect them from firing.

According to sources Pakistani Army after evacuating several villages has its deployed 626 Artillery Regiment. The developments took place after Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh said that the Pakistan Army should be pressured to return the head of Lance Naik Hemraj. But Pakistan has refused to accept that Hemraj was beheaded by its troops in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Monday's flag meeting ended in less than an hour without any result. The meeting took place just an hour after General Bikram Singh hit out strongly at Pakistan over the killing of two Indian soldiers and continuous ceasefire violation. He warned Pakistan that the Indian Army will retaliate to Pakistan's attack.

"I have given very categorical directions to the Northern Command. When we are provoked we shall respond immediately. I expect my commanders to be aggressive in the face of firing. We will retaliate to Pakistan's attack at a place and time of our choosing," General Bikram Singh said and also hinted that terror groups may be helping the Pakistani Army.

Sources said that almost a week ago on January 8 Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Hafiz Saeed was seen close to the Line of Control.
