Ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday accused the opposition parties of creating hurdles in the development of the state. "These parties themselves are putting question mark on their style of working by making an administrative decision a subject of controversy," party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary alleged in a statement issued in Lucknow.
He alleged that BJP, Congress and BSP have started targeting the Samajwadi Party government and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. "Every now and then they are standing at the gate of Raj Bhawan (Governor's residence). Baseless statements are being issued," he alleged.
There were several problems in the state having a population of 20 crore and the CM was trying to rid it of the backwardness since the day of taking oath, Chaudhary said. He claimed that the SP government inherited empty coffer and corrupt administration.
With his ability the CM strongly controlled forces disturbing law and order, he said. "The CM has clarified several times that the government will act against officers involved in wrongdoings other wise development works will be disrupted, communal harmony will get disturb and problems of the people will increase," he said.
