A person was killed and six others were injured in an accident in which a car was caught between two tipper lorries at Pallippuram around 1.30 p m on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Soman, 84 of Varkala. The drivers of the two tipper lorries and four passengers of the car were injured and shifted to the Medical College Hospital Thiruvananthapuram.
The mishap occurred when the car bound from Attingal to Thiruvananthapuram got sandwiched between the lorries.
One of the lorries was coming from Attingal to Kazhakoottam and the other was coming in the opposite direction.
Police said that the lorries were over-speeding.
