KOCHI: Complaints continued to pour in against the real estate company Apple A Day Properties on Tuesday with the majority of the Non Resident Indian (NRI) investors lodging their complaints with the city police through email.City Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) P A Valsan said they had started receiving complaints through emails, which were being forwarded to the police officials concerned to register cases."According to investigators, the accused are still holed up somewhere in Bangalore. We hope to arrest the accused in a few days," he said.The police said they would oppose the purported move by the accused to get anticipatory bail from the local court here."The police will file an affidavit before the court seeking to reject the anticipatory bail pleas of the accused," the sources said.The probe teams had collected the complete details of the projects of the company, including the earlier completed projects.Police revealed the company had so far announced 21 projects since its inception in 2004."Of these, only 11 projects are to be completed. The police have also collected details of the movable assets, which included 30 cars, owned by the accused"."The accused had withdrawn their money from eight bank accounts three months ago. This explains that the accused have acted in advance to transact money from their official bank accounts," the police said."There has been some unrest among the employees of the company since 2009. A few senior officials of the company sensed trouble and resigned a few months ago. The police have launched a detailed probe"."The preliminary analysis of the complaints reveals that the company had duped around Rs 134 crore," police said.It has been alleged that the accused have gifted certain police and government officials with properties worth lakhs of rupees in the last couple of years.
