An angry boyfriend beat his partner to death in a fit of rage since she had not cooked his favourite dish. The incident took place at Vidya Nagar locality in Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot district where the couple was residing.
The boyfriend, who was in an inebriated state at the time of the incident, has been identified as Vijay Raidas. He was in a live-in relationship with his girlfriend Sapna Raikwar for the last one and a half years.
According to reports, the deceased woman Sapna Raikwar was earlier married to a man named Rooplal ten years ago. She had two children from this marriage. However, Sapna left her husband and filed a case against him.
Vijay Raidas was advocating the case with Sapna when they got close and fell in love. The couple was residing at a rented accommodation at Vidya Nagar.
The police who reached the spot after the incident have taken Raidas into custody. Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered after Sapna Raikwar’s father lodged a complaint against the accused. Further legal action will be taken, he added.
