A 19-year-old youth was arrested in Indore on July13 for allegedly making a hoax call to police a week ago about a bomb being planted in Jodhpur-bound Ranthambor Express.
The youth, Jitendra Johri, had called up Police Control Room on July 7 by identifying himself as Parabhakar and told them that a bomb was planted in the train, a Crime Branch official said.
Following the "tip off", various agencies including the GRP, police, RPF and a bomb disposal squad swung into action and searched for the explosive but in vain.
As the information turned out to be false, police started tracking location of the caller and finally zeroed in on Johri.
Police are questioning Johri to find out the motive behind making the hoax call.
