The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission was constituted in 1956. One of the major functions of MPPSC is recruitment of suitable candidates to the State Services by Direct Selection, Promotions, or Transfers.
For the direct selection process, the commission conducts State Service Examination. The Commission is also consulted on all disciplinary matters affecting a person serving under Government of India or the Government of a State in a civil capacity.
