The City Corporation, which is in charge of installing the high mast lamp at Vazhuthacaud, however, seems to have forgotten all about the work. The partially-installed lamp also poses a threat to motorists as well as pedestrians. Corporation officials told Express that they would soon install the lamp. A contrast to the high mast lamps operated by Kerala Road Fund Board (KRFB), those under the Corporation are facing neglect. There are 16 high mast lamps under the Corporation, which has plans to install 18 more such lamps in other junctions.When contacted, Corporation officials, at first, took some time to confirm that the high mast lamp at Vazhuthacaud belonged to them.
