New Delhi: Steven Spielberg's 'The Adventures of Tintin' was a different film due to the latest 3 D techniques used in it. The use of this technique made the animated characters look more vivid and closer to reality. The Indian film industry doesn't lag far behind than Hollywood when it comes to using modern age technologies, and who could be better than Rajinikanth to start a new trend.

If media reports are to be believed then his forthcoming film 'Kochadaiyaan' is using the same technique as Spielberg used in 'Tintin'. Known as motion capture or motion tracking, this technique first records the movement of the object before translating it into the digital mode.

Used in various fields for recreating the situations, 'mocap' method first captures the movement of a real actor in different circumstances before putting the acquired properties in an animated character. This provides the character a clear cut dimension and well defined action path.

Not only this, it also helps in creating a virtual camera which will pan, tilt or dolly as per the character's need.

Soundarya, the director of 'Kochadaiyaan' is well versed with different animation techniques and her short film 'Sultan: The warrior Prince' was a fine example of it, where she had amalgamated many animation softwares.

Having a technically sound person behind the Dictaphone will help in achieving a life-like animation in 'Kochadaiyaan'.
