Keys, Levine get Australian Open wildcards
Two American and two French players are guaranteed wildcard spots in the Australian Open every year.

Norcross, Georgia: Americans Madison Keys and Jesse Levine have earned wildcard berths at the Australian Open by winning the US Tennis Association playoff tournament.

The 16-year-old Keys beat Gail Brodsky 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday to earn a women's wildcard, while Levine defeated veteran Robby Ginepri 6-0, 6-2, 6-1 for a men's spot.

Two American and two French players are guaranteed wildcard spots in the Australian Open every year through a reciprocal agreement between the US, French and Australian tennis associations.

Fifteen-year-old Ashleigh Barty and Marinko Matosevic won wildcard playoffs in Australia this month to secure spots in the tournament, which begins on January 16.

Two-time Grand Slam winner Lleyton Hewitt, Casey Dellacqua and James Duckworth have also received wildcards.
