The rift between the Kerala Governor and state government escalated on Friday after Arif Mohammed Khan once again launched an attack on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, saying that the ‘Kerala CM hired goons to attack him’. Further stating that he does not want to clarify things with Chief Minister Vijayan, Khan said, “I don’t want to reply to anything he says.”
Notably, the Kerala Governor’s response came after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu stating that the Governor was not fulfilling his constitutional duties in the state.
“He (Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan) is hiring goons to attack my car. Who were they? They were sent by him or by somebody else. With such a person, I don’t want to have any conversation. I don’t want to reply to anything he says,” the Governor said, adding, “The man who organises an attack on the Governor does not deserve any response from me.”
