New Delhi: Akshay Kumar's absence from the promotion of 'Joker' is reflecting in its collection. The film has collected around Rs 5 crore on the first day, which is lower than the collection of recent Akshay Kumar films. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, "#Joker Friday numbers are poor in India and international markets. Amongst akshaykumar 's lowest openers."
Adarsh further tweets, "#Joker India *estimates* Fri 5 cr. Amongst the lowest openers of this year!"
Taran Adarsh has also given the break ups of the film's business, "#Joker *UK* Fri £ 24,460 [11 screens yet to report]. Extremely poor!"
He adds, "#Joker *Australia* Thu A$ 4,317, Fri A$ 12,884. Total: A$ 17,201 ... *New Zealand* Thu NZ$ 1,480, Fri NZ$ 6,303. Total: NZ$ 7,783. Poor."
Most of the critics have felt that the film doesn't satisfy the expectation level of the audiences. Some went on to term it as the torture of the senses.
Akshay Kumar is among one of the bankable actors on the box office, so the film's bad performance can harm his prestige also.
