Srinagar: There was another ceasefire violation in Hamirpur sector located in Poonch district on Wednesday as Pakistani troops fired using small arms and automatics along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan has violated ceasefire more than 25 times in less than three months.

There was no report of any ceasefire violation for nearly 10 days before Wednesday's violation. The Narendra Modi government had called off Foreign Secretary-level talks with Pakistan citing the country's meetings with kashmiri separatists and continuous ceasefire violations.

defence Minister Arun jaitley had on Tuesday said that Pakistani forces did not want talks as they continuously indulged in ceasefire violations at the LoC.
