It has been a long journey for the Harry Potter film franchise, and the audience unanimously agrees that Deathly Hallows 2 is a fitting farewell to this twelve-year-old saga. Theatres across the city were choc-a-bloc today, for the first-day, first-show, and Pottermania had gripped the city hard.
Divya Jain who was one of the first Harry Potter fans to queue up at a city multiplex to buy a ticket was obviously overwhelmed by the experience. She said, "It is a finale worthy of the series which has been a major part of my last eleven years. The acting is mature and simply brilliant. The best part of the whole series is its noteworthy direction."
Her brother Ketan was ecstatic about being able to catch the film on the first day itself. He said, "This movie is one of the best in the Potter series. The ending is perfect and Daniel Radcliffe is superb."
Ankita Chandra could not stop smiling after she came out of the theatre after watching the film. She said, "The film is action-packed and has a tight script. There is a good amount of screen space allotted to Harry and Voldemort. However, Bellatrix's character was wasted. Overall, the film was good. But it's sad that this is the end of the magical journey."
Libby Abraham who watched the film with Ankita said, "The movie was too good. The last confrontation between Harry and Voldemort was beautifully shot. It is too bad the journey ends here. The performance was brilliant. I wish they showed more of the fight sequence and of course Hagrid!"
Radhika Vaidya who caught the 10 am show today says, "Deathly Hallows 2 is a result of excellent direction by David Yates and the scene of the final battle is awesome. The film does complete justice to the book."
Nupur Advani who came out of the theatre, noticeably sad at the fact that this was the end of an era, couldn't help but say, "I wish there could be another movie in the series...perhaps about Harry Potter's son!"
