BANGALORE: Karnataka Janajagruthi Vedike will felicitate former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde at Bharathi Vidya Bhavan at 11 am on December 12 for “working fearlessly without succumbing to any pressure.”Addressing a joint news conference on Tuesday, freedom fighter H N Doreswamy and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha President K S Puttanaiah said various organisations and associations are joining hands in this programe. Former Chief Justices of Supreme Court Justice J S Varma and M N Venkatachalaiah will felicitated Santosh Hegde,they stated.They sought the implementation of the Lokayukta report in toto. The Vedike is planning to lock both the State Assembly and Council since the elected representatives were not doing anything. “More than 20,000 people will assemble in front of Vidhana Soudha and lock the houses. Instead of appointing a honest person, the government was floating the names of ‘tainted’ persons as if there are no honest people,” they criticised.
