Dubai: A 25-year-old Indian teacher has been found dead in her apartment in Sharjah, police said on Friday.
Mary Madote, hailing from Pune, was a teacher in ‘Our Own’ Indian School in Dubai. "A note found in the apartment's storeroom said she was taking the extreme step on her own choice and that no one else was responsible. She has also expressed her apology to the police for the inconvenience caused to them," police was quoted as saying.
Mary, who used to share an accommodation provided by the school with six other teachers was alone at the time of incident on Wednesday, police said. Police interrogated her flat mates who said they did not observe anything unusual in her behaviour on the day or earlier.
The school, when contacted, refused to give much details saying the police were investigating the incident.
"We have informed her family which lives in Pune," a school official said.
