Imran khan says Pakistan Hindus can return after his party comes to power
Imran Khan said Muslims spread Islam through their good conduct and not through the use of force.

Islamabad: Pakistan's opposition leader Imran Khan has said that the Hindus who fled the country after being persecuted will return home if his party comes to power.

"I am hopeful that people from Hindu community, who had fled Pakistan after facing atrocities, would return when Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) comes to power," he said.

Khan was addressing protesters in front of the parliament here last night as part of daily routine since launching protest on August 14 seeking ouster of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

On the forced conversions, Khan said, "I feel sorry that Hindus and Kalash communities were forced to embrace Islam which actually was against the spirit of our religion."

He said Muslims spread Islam through their good conduct and not through the use of force.

Khan said the minorities would be given protection, justice and equal rights as per the vision of the founder of the nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

"We would empower the weak and give them protection," Khan said while addressing the sit-in on 67th day.

The party also celebrated "minorities' day" at the Constitution Avenue where representatives from Christian, Hindu and Sikh communities were present. His party also celebrated Diwali on the occasion with Hindus.
