HYDERABAD: High drama prevailed at Abkari building (excise office) on Saturday morning when a person climbed up the pension office beside it and threatened to jump to death denouncing the ‘failure’ of the excise and police officials in arresting his friend who cheated him.According to sources, Kishan Singh of Bahadurpura lodged a complaint with the Chikkadapally police and excise officials when his friend Srikanth Goud cheated him. Srikanth Goud is running a liquor shop at Baghlingampally.Actually, tenders were filed in the name of Kishan Singh in excise auctions. The liquor shop was also registered Kishan’s name. Later, Srikanth Goud took Rs 40 lakh loan from a bank showing the wine shop as surety.When Srikanth Goud failed to repay the loan, the bank officials started pressurising Kishan Singh to repay the amount. Though Kishan Singh lodged a complaint against Srikanth Goud, no action has been taken against him so far. To highlight the issue, Kishan Singh threatened to commit suicide by jumping from the pension office building.Kishan Singh climbed down the building following an assurance by excise assistant commissioner Nageswara Rao that action would be taken against Goud.
