Jaipur: Blistering heat wave conditions further intensified in Rajasthan as Barmer was the hottest place with maximum temperature of 44.9 degree Celsius, a MeT report said in Jaipur.
Mercury rose by one to three degrees at many places due to dry weather conditions and the temperature was recorded above 40 degrees at all places in the state, the report said.
Western regions of the state including Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu, and Sriganganagar were in the grip of severe heat wave as the mercury was recorded between 43 and 44.5 degree Celsius in these places.
Jaipur also experienced intense heat wave conditions as mercury peaked 42.3 degree Celsius, about 2 degrees higher than on Sunday. No respite is expected in the next 24 hours, a forecast said.
