Haryana remains tense after Gohana protests
Haryana continues to remain on the edge for the fourth day.

New Delhi: Haryana continues to remain on the edge for the fourth day following Dalit protests.

Police fired in the air in the Mauli Jagran area of Chandigarh, after a demonstration by members of the Balmiki Samaj turned violent.

The violence followed the murder of a Dalit youth in Gohana on Monday.

A state-wide bandh was observed on Thursday. Several minor incidents of violence were reported during the bandh.

Tension prevails in various parts of the state including Sirsa, Panipat and Karnal.
