CHENNAI: The Department of Media Sciences, College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai is organising ‘Gateway Awards ‘12, a national level media festival on March 29 and 30. Gateway Awards, which will have its 8th edition this year, is an attempt to provide a platform for students across the country to learn and explore their talents. The two-day festival will witness experts from different media fields address the students about various options and opportunities available in their respective areas.The festival also has contests in categories like short film, animation film, and ad film. The deadline for submission of entries for the competition is March 16. The contest is open to all — for both college students and professionals and will be judged in separate categories. The jury will be a panel of eminent media personalities. Short-listed entries will be screened in a premier multiplex in Chennai on March 29.
