A day after being shunted from the post of spokesman for attacking Narendra Modi and terming Nitish Kumar as "Prime Minister material", a BJP leader in Bihar on Wednesday resigned from the party.
Ramkishore Singh, former BJP MLC, who was removed by the state party president Mangal Pandey from spokesman's post on Tuesday for publicly expressing doubt over leadership quality of Modi and praising Kumar, tendered his resignation to state chief of the party, today.
"I had asked party leadership to discuss the case by 11 AM on Wednesday and when no reply came, I sent my resignation to Bihar party President Mangal Pandey," Singh told reporters in Patna.
Singh had yesterday praised Nitish Kumar and attacked Narendra Modi.
"Narendra Modi is an ice made up of salty water of Gujarat who will melt before reaching Delhi (becoming Prime Minister)," he said.
Singh also said the Gujarat model of development cannot be applied in the whole country.
"Nitish Kumar was and still is 'vikas purush' who has the capacity to take everybody togther, he is definitely a PM material," the ex-BJP MLC said.
Asked if he was planning to join JD(U), Singh said he has not made up his mind so far.
