London: From a battered 80-year-old boat to a swanky yacht, life has come a long way for humble British fisherman Guy Barnett who married a multi-billionaire's daughter after a whirlwind fairytale romance.
Guy Barnett sailed into his old home port in Dartmouth, Devon with bride Sarah Risley, 35, so they could entertain friends and family on the luxurious 100 million pounds, six-deck Northern Star that has a helipad.
The vessel was built less than a year ago and it is now moored at the same port from where Barnett, 35, used to take tourists mackerel fishing on a battered 80-year-old boat.
Eighty people were invited on board the yacht, which has a helipad, country house-style interior and needs a crew of 22 to run it.
Barnett met Sarah eight years ago after he landed a job as a deckhand on one of her billionaire father's yachts.
Sarah's father is Canadian John, 62, who runs a huge food empire and the largest fishing fleet in North America.
The couple married in Nova Scotia last week.
The Sun quoted Guy as saying: "We had a great party on board and guests included some of my childhood friends. The yacht is fantastic but very homely inside.
"I met Sarah when I was working on a yacht as deck crew and she was a guest."
