BANGALORE: Amid reports that Governor H R Bharadwaj had rejected the state government’s recommendation to appoint former Justice S R Bannurmath as Lokayukta, state BJP president K S Eshwarappa on Thursday criticised the former for trying to destabilise the state government, by rejecting several Bills passed by the state government. “From day one, he has been putting hurdles to the state government,” Eshwarappa said in support of his accusation. “He has stopped several Bills though they were passed in both houses of legislature. His intention is to destabilise the government. But he will not succeed in that,” Eshwarappa addressed while speaking to reporters here. On his part, the Governor has refused to react to Eshwarppa’s outburst stating that he would not react to irrelevant people. “Let him say anything he wants. I am not going to react,” said Governor H R Bharadwaj on the sidelines of a function here on Thursday.
