NELLORE: The preliminary enquiry conducted by the district medical and health officer into the alleged infusion of HIV-infected blood into a pregnant woman has found no evidence of supply of HIV-infected blood by the Indian Red Cross Society’s blood bank here.Acting under district collector’s orders, DMHO K Masilamani and additional DMHO K Padma conducted a preliminary enquiry and submitted a report to collector who is the district chairman of IRCS. Talking to Express, Masilamani said that during the enquiry the records maintained by the IRCS revealed that the blood which was supplied was received from three regular donors and was subjected to various tests, including Elisa and Nuclic Acid Test(NAT) to find out symptoms of diseases before it was stored in blood bank.
