HYDERABAD: DGP V Dinesh Reddy’s meeting with chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the latter’s camp office on Tuesday, gained significance in the wake of Zero Tolerance policy adopted by the state government towards Telangana agitators who try to disrupt public services.Intelligence chief Mahender Reddy was also present at the meeting.According to official sources, the chief minister instructed the senior police officers to deploy adequate forces in problematic areas to thwart any untoward incident during the ongoing Sakala Janula Samme, which entered the 29th day.Stringent action should be taken against the agitators who try to prevent the government employees from attending duties and who create hurdles to plying of RTC bus services, the chief minister is understood to have told the DGP.The police should take adequate security measures in view of the three-day rail roko of the TJAC from October 15 to 17, he said. Later, the DGP inspected the bus and railway stations.He warned that disruption of train services by T agitators could not be tolerated.IG (law and order) AR Anuradha after a meeting with chief secretary Pankaj Dwivedi, told newsmen that henceforth the police would not spare the T activists if they create problems to the general public in the name of Sakala Janula Samme.As there were clear instructions from the government, the police would not only book cases against the agitators but also send them to remand.
