Urban Dev Min J Reddy said govt of Delhi appoints the MD of DMRC.
New Delhi: The central and Delhi governments are likely to decide on Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) managing director E Sreedharan's resignation on Monday, Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy said on Sunday.
Sreedharan sent his resignation to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit owning "moral responsibility" after an accident at an under-construction stretch of Delhi Metro that killed six people and injured 15 on Sunday.
"The managing director is appointed by the government of Delhi. I will talk to the chief minister and take a view tomorrow," central Urban Development Minister Reddy told reporters.
Delhi Metro is a joint venture of the central government and the Delhi government.
