Creating awareness about science

BANGALORE: Vagdevi Vilasa Institution will organise a two-day art and science festival, ‘Vagdevi Vijnan Kala Utsav-2011’ on December 15 and 16 at Bidadi. On this occasion, Professor C N R Rao Science Tech Park will be inaugarated at the school premises.The park aims at showing the students the usage of science in daily life and it also helps in conducting experiments by chosing the topic ‘Role of science in daily life’.The festival includes the science exhibition to create interest, curiosity and wonder in the minds of the students. As a part of the exhibition, children from various organisations display scientific model. This will provide a platform for students to showcase their talent. The main theme of the Art festival is ‘Ramayana’.Students’ competitions and programmes will be based on the main theme. Students from both government and private schools can take part in the event.
