Devotees believe that if they visit this temple, their wish will undoubtedly be fulfilled.

In the East Godavari districts, there are two significant shrines dedicated to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. One is the seven-week Venkateswara Swamy Divyakshetra, located in Ambedkar Konaseema District Vadapally. The other is the Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple, situated on the National Highway in Tuni, Kakinada District. The annual Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Mahotsavam is celebrated with increasing grandeur each year due to these revered temples. Devotees fervently believe that if an unmarried couple visits Lord Venkateswara Swamy and sincerely expresses their desire for marriage, their wish will undoubtedly be fulfilled.

In this sacred abode, the divine union celebration of Swamy Ammavarla Kalyana Mahotsava (also known as Shree Godamahalakshmi) and Sri Eduvarala Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Kalyanam, is annually organised in a magnificent manner. The auspicious ceremony is conducted under the esteemed guidance of the Taluru Jeeyar Math, with elaborate arrangements overseen by the committee. This year, Swami’s Kalyanam is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 5, at 11:56 AM.

In this divine seven-week Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Divyakshetra, prasad is distributed every week. The temple committee informed that around 10,000 devotees will be present for the occasion. Despite its modest size, the temple is very important to the people living in the East Godavari area, as they swear by its reputation for bestowing blessings and fulfilling desires on devotees. All devotees are urged by the temple committee to participate in the big celebration of Swami’s Kalyanam in order to directly experience the divine benefits. The committee also highlights noteworthy activities like the canopy festival on Wednesday morning after the fifth day of celebrations and Swami’s Shree Pushpayaga, which is slated for the seventh day after Swami’s Kalyanam.

This temple carries significance for newlywed couples. Newlyweds offer prayers first in this temple as this is the place where Venkateswara with his consort Padmavathi stayed for the first six months of their marriage.
