BHUBANESWAR: A Class IV employee of the Odisha Government has been found possessing assets estimated at a whopping Rs 2.28 crore. Crackdown by the Vigilance sleuths brought to the fore the wealth accumulated by Lingaraj Jena, a safei mohrir with the office of Additional Sub-Collector, Puri.Jena is currently posted at the Settlement Camp Office in Bhubaneswar. Sleuths of Bhubaneswar Division of the State Vigilance searched his premises at Puri and Bhubaneswar. Jena is a native of  Gada Bangar village along Puri-Konark Road.Preliminary investigation revealed that he owns two three-storey buildings in the City - at Laxmi Sagar and Gouri Nagar. Besides, he has homestead land at Badagarh. He also has a third share in a building at his native village and it was estimated at a whopping Rs 1.79 crore. His movable assets included an SUV and motorbikes whose combined estimate stands at Rs 19 lakh, gold ornaments worth Rs 8.33 lakh besides deposits and investments to the tune of Rs 20.45 lakh. The total assets of Jena were computed at Rs 2.28 crore. Investigation is still on.
