ANANTAPUR: In a shocking incident, a nurse from RDT hospital in Battalapalle, was allegedly kidnapped on Thursday morning and the incident was recorded by hospital cctv. Even more shocking was that footage revealed the kidnappers to be husband and brother of the kidnapped nurse. The drama unfolded in the hospital during early hours of the day, where the nurse, Srilatha (27) was working since a year. She was found arguing with two persons, who dragged her out of the hospital and whisked her away in a vehicle.
Alerted by the hospital staff, Battalapalle SI, Ravishankar Reddy rushed to the spot with his staff. On examining the video footage and interviewing hospital staff, the police concluded that kidnappers were Srilatha's husband Balakrishna and brother Srihari.The trio were taken into custody in Anantapur by police and brought to Battalapalle for questioning. It came to light that Srilatha had married Balakrishna in 2005 and has a son. She had completed nursing course and joined RDT hospital, claiming she was unmarried. For some time, she had been pestering her husband to allow her to do BSc Nursing, for which he and family members were not supportive. It led to a domestic spat.

Since the last two days, Srilatha had not gone home. Balakrishna had called his wife, asking her to come home, as their son was not well. However, Srilatha had said that she would return home only if they agreed for her doing the BSc course. So Balakrishna and Srilatha's brother went to RDT hospital and took her forcibly back to home and this is on tape.
