Badaun: Heavy rains have continued to hamper efforts to exhume the bodies of the two minor girls who were allegedly raped and then hung from a tree in May. Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recorded the statement of doctors who conducted the first post-mortem and found that they did not have the necessary experience.
The medical board recommended a fresh post-mortem but the CBI's efforts to exhume the bodies have been hampered because of rising water levels due to incessant rains. The CBI is likely to try and exhume the bodies of Badaun murder victims again on Monday.
The probe agency had questioned the father and the uncle of the murdered girls found inconsistencies in their statements. The victims' families have maintained that they are ready to extend all help to the CBI.
A victim's father questioned the state administration and said that if the UP police would have worked like the CBI, the case would have been cleared by now.
