BANGALORE: The long pending cabinet expansion to fill vacancies is likely to be taken up by the chief minister next week,
K S Eshwarappa, State BJP Chief, announced here on Thursday. Refusing to divulge the names of the ministers who are likely to make it to the council of ministry, Eshwarappa said that Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa will make the decision.

Eshwarappa said that the party would undertake a campaign to strengthen its base where it is weak in the days to come.

He also welcomed the chief minister's decision to take administration to rural areas and said that it would help to review the implementation of the government's propeople programme more vigorously.
