Shemaroo releases Rafoo Chakkar on home video
Shemaroo Entertainment brings home a fun-filled hilarious film Rafoo Chakkar on DVDs and VCDs. This film is a perfect lazy Sunday afternoon movie, which can be watched at home with family members and which will tickle your sense of humour, urging you into a roaring laughter.
Produced by Friday Pictures, Rafoo Chakkar is directed by B H Tharunkumar and presented by Shemaroo Entertainment. The film stars a host of luminaries from the film industry viz Aslam Khan, Yudhishtir Urs, Nauheed Cyrussi, Nisha Rawal, Archana Puran Singh, Mita Vashishta, Shakti Kapoor, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Tinu Anand and Anant Mahadevan among others. Rafoo Chakkar also has some peppy musical score by Lalit Pandit.
The story revolves around the four central characters of the film, whose mindset is – love life, enjoy life and live life, to the fullest. Yudhistir [Pappu], Aslam Khan [Munnu], Nisha Rawal [Millie] and Nauheed Cyrussi [Jullie], belong to different towns and have never met each other, yet they choose to run away when forced to get married by their parents.
On the run, Pappu and Munnu meet and get attracted towards Millie and Jullie not realizing that they are the same girls with whom they were to get married to. Another twist comes in the story when Millie and Jullie meet Kokila and Koena (Archana and Mita) two middle aged sisters who hate men and never want to get married. But fate takes another turn and Kokila and Koena's father, who wants his daughter's to marry, dies leaving his entire property in the hands of trustees managed by Dilkhush (Shakti Kapoor) and Hasmukh (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) making a will which has a catch.
Meanwhile Pappu and Munnu are completely broke, they plan a robbery at Kokila and Koena's house not realizing that the old ladies are karate black belts and get caught red handed.
The DVD of Rafoo Chakkar has subtitles in English and Arabic. Rafoo Chakkar is an entertaining movie with oodles of laughter and light moments.
The VCDs and DVDs are economically priced at Rs 99 and Rs 199 respectively.
Karisma-Kareena together for Golmaal Returns
They haven't shared space on the big screen but Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor will finally share screen space together on television. The siblings will feature together in an episode of Star Plus' Nach Baliye 4 on which Karisma is one of the judges alongside Arjun Rampal and Farah Khan.
Kareena is likely to shoot for the episode in Mumbai on Monday 20th October. She will be the celebrity guest representing the entire cast of her forthcoming comedy, Golmaal Returns. It is believed that Kareena may even dance to the chartbusting 'Tu Saala Kaam Se Gaya' track from Golmaal Returns and Karisma may shake a leg with her.
The episode is slated to air on October 24, days before the theatrical release of Golmaal Returns.
It is learnt that when Kareena was informed about the plan, she was thrilled and agreed without even a moment's hesitation. She maintains that she had a blast shooting for Golmaal Returns and wants all her fans and the audience to have a blast watching the keenly anticipated comic caper this Diwali!
It is an Indian Films-Studio 18 worldwide release.

Manish Malhotra creates golmaal for Kareena Kapoor!
Never mind the golmaal on-screen, there was much off-screen golmaal happening on the sets of Golmaal Returns as well!
While in Bangkok, director Rohit Shetty's assistant, Rami, wanted certain changes in Kareena Kapoor's outfits and had a message sent to her designer Manish Malhotra. The latter, pronouncing "Rami" as "Rumi", informed Kareena of the alterations that had been requested.
Kareena instructed her manager to call "Rumi" for a meeting to discuss the changes. The manager assumed that by "Rumi", she was referring to Rumi Jafri (the director) who, incidentally, had helped out with the story of Golmaal Returns.
A thoroughly confused Jafri couldn't fathom why he was being called in to discuss Kareena's outfits and told her manager that he didn't know what he was talking about.
After much chaos about the mysterious identity of "Rumi" it was discovered that Manish had mis-pronounced Rami's name!
Needless to add, Rumi Jafri was a relieved man at the end of it all!
A special screening of Golmaal Returns for Ekta Kapoor!
It was revealed that Kareena Kapoor's character in Golmaal Returns is called Ekta, and not surprisingly, she plays a fan of saas-bahu serials!
Now Kareena has taken her fondness for Ekta to the next level by deciding to hold a special screening for the television czarina next week once the prints are out. Ekta is also said to be keen to have the director of Golmaal Returns, Rohit Shetty, direct the much-awaited sequel of Kya Kool Hain Hum.
Golmaal Returns was cleared on Friday by the Indian censors with a 'U' certificate and no cuts.
Kareena's special screening will be attended by her friends Lovely Singh (who gave her It's Rocking), sister Karisma Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, among others.
Golmaal Returns is out in cinemas on Wednesday, 29 October. It is an Indian Films-Studio 18 worldwide release.
