Alagiri counsel appears before Madurai Collector

MADURAI: Counsel for Union Minister M K Alagiri, R Janakiramulu, appeared before the Madurai District Collector U Sagayam, on Wednesday in response to a notice issued to the minister’s family regarding destruction of water courses.The notice sought an explanation from M K Alagiri, his wife and their son, as trustees of the M K Alagiri Educational Trust, for allegedly destroying water courses leading to an agricultural land while building Dhaya Engineering College in Sivarakottai village.Denying allegations, the counsel sought some records from the district administration. He also submitted that the respondents would file a statement of objection after receipt of documents.
