HYDERABAD: The AntiCorruption Bureau on Thursday submitted its report to the AP High Court on the illegal constructions in Hyderabad. As reported by Express recently, the watchdog agency has stated that the unauthorised buildings could not have gone unnoticed and that some officials may have colluded with the builders to look the other way.
Sources told Express that the bulky report prepared by the ACB after almost two months of probe, found that out of the 198 buildings, 71 were unauthorised while about 125 buildings (Ground + 3), for which sanction was given, had deviations, some to large extent than the approved builtup area. What surprised the ACB officials was the fact that despite buildings being constructed unauthorisedly, the local GHMC officials were "unaware' of the whole affair. These unauthorised buildings and deviatons cannot go unnoticed, the ACB is understood to have said in the report and added that some officials may have colluded with the builders.
