CHENNAI: Auditions for ‘Mrs Home Maker’ were held across Trichy, Madurai, Tanjore, Coimabatore, Salem and Chennai. Rounds such as Creative, Cookery, Sports, Dance, Singing and Mimicry were conducted.Twenty contestants were selected out of 900 participants from across the districts. The selected 20 contestants participated in all the sub-event rounds. Fourteen out of the 20 shortlisted contestants, who reached the finals, stunned the audience at the finale with their performances. The individual cultural talent round at the finale had the contestants exhibit their skills at singing, dancing and mimicry. Some of the performances were mind blowing. All the contestants performed a group dance to the number Senthamizh Thenmozhi.Kavitha Karthik was crowned ‘Mrs Home Maker, Tamil Nadu. Varsha from Chennai secured the second runner’s up position and Subhasini from Coimbatore bagged the first runner’s up position. The judges for the finale were John Britto, singer Ujjani and actress Fathima Babu. The Chief guest of the event was actress Devayani Rajkumaran. ‘Mrs Homemaker’ will be an exciting and entertaining reality show on Jaya TV.
