BANGALORE: Hard rock cafe have launched a global campaign on November 29, “Imagine There’s No Hunger,” with whyhunger, a non-profit organisation. Yoko Ono Lennon, social activist and wife of late John Lennon will generate awareness about the millions of hungry children in the world and raise funds to work towards eradicating hunger and poverty.As a part of the “Imagine There’s No Hunger Campaign” hard rock cafe Bangalore will embark on a day long programme to help people who are in need of basic nourishment and essentials to exist. On December 5, HRC Bangalore will hire a bus with staff members going with tents, utensils and food supplies that the staff will cook and serve at a village for the needy. Post lunch the team is planning on showing them a film, which would be followed by fun activities for the children at the village.Through this campaign patrons will be provided with a sheet, comprising of a list of food items with their prices and quantity. The guests will be asked to fill this sheet and the collections from this activity will be used to buy the food items for a charity in their local city. The campaign, whose name was inspired by Lennon’s famous song, imagine, is dedicated to the HRC’s core value-all is one.” Jay Singh, co-founder and executive director, JSM corporation says, “Hard rock cafe runs plenty of global campaigns every year to raise awareness and funds for the underprivileged.
