BHUBANESWAR: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Raghunath Mohanty on Tuesday said the State Government provided 100 acres of land in Chandaka industrial estate for establishment of offices of different information technology (IT) companies under Infocity-1.To a question from Surendra Kumar Paramanik (Cong), the Minister said Infosys, Aabsys Information Technology Private Limited, Enterprise System Solution Private Limited and JSS Consultancy Services Private Limited have opened their offices.Mohanty said Medwrite, CSM Technologies, Bharti Airtel, Spatial Planning (SPARC) Limited and Tatwa Technology Limited would open offices soon. He said 150 acres had been provided for establishment of a special economic zone (SEZ) on IT. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Mind Tree, Aricent Technologies and STG Chips have started work on it.The Infocity-II will be set up in public private partnership (PPP) mode.He said the info valley project would be set up on 500 acres at Jaanla, on the outskirts of the city. The project, when completed, will create employment opportunities for one lakh IT professionals and indirect employment to four lakh people.Stating that work on the project is apace, the Minister said Rs 21.50 crore had been provided for infrastructural development in the project area in 2012-13 budget.
