1 held for theft of vehicles

HYDERABAD: An auto driver was arrested by police on Friday for committing theft of automobiles. Vehicles worth Rs. 12 lakh were recovered from him.K Munisekhar Reddy (24) alias Sekhar who hails from Chittoor, came to the city a few years ago. Sekhar, a resident of Balanagar, ran an auto for sometime.Later, to meet expenses of his luxurious lifestyle, he started automobile thefts, police said. In 2010, he was held in an automobile theft case and sent to jail.After his release, he again started stealing vehicles. He stole a car from Balanagar, a seven-seater, an auto from Narsapur and a two-wheeler.After changing the number plates, he used to hire them. During a vehicle checking near IDPL industrial area, the Balanagar police apprehended Sekhar while he was going on a stolen two-wheeler.
