If you love the Monopoly board game, you may have been playing Monopoly GO, a mobile version of the game. But how exactly do you add friends in Monopoly GO? Playing with friends anywhere in the world is a big draw to playing mobile games, and thankfully, there are a handful of easy ways to add friends in Monopoly GO. Keep reading to learn how to add your friends to play this mobile game together.

Things You Should Know

Open Monopoly GO and tap the "Friends" button in the lower-right.
Select one of the three invitation methods—contacts, Facebook, or invite.
If you invite a friend who hasn't played the game before, you'll get a reward once they join.

Adding Contacts

Tap the Friends menu in the bottom-right corner. The icon is a pair of hands shaking.

Tap the Contacts button. It's the first one on the bottom after entering the Friends menu, and it's orange with a telephone icon. Use this option to friend people who already play the game and are on your contact list.

Tap the green Add Contacts button. A popup will ask if you want to connect with people on your contacts list.

Enter your phone number, if prompted, and tap Continue. You may not have to do this if you've already provided your phone number. After entering your phone number, any contacts you have who are also playing Monopoly GO will be added immediately.

Adding Facebook Friends

Tap the Friends menu in the bottom-right corner. The icon is a pair of hands shaking.

Tap the Facebook button. It's the middle one on the bottom after entering the Friends menu, and it's blue with a Facebook icon. Use this option to friend people who already play the game and are on your Facebook friends list.

Tap the Confirm button. A popup will ask permission to connect to your Facebook account. The game will need to look at your public profile to see which of your friends play Monopoly GO. After connecting your Facebook account, any friends who are also playing Monopoly GO will be added immediately.

Invite

Tap the Friends menu in the bottom-right corner. The icon is a pair of hands shaking.

Tap the Invite button. It's the right one on the bottom after entering the Friends menu, and it's green with a person icon. Use this option to invite new friends who don't already play to Monopoly GO.

Read the on-screen instructions. The game will explain how invites work—if you invite a friend who hasn't played before, you'll get a reward once your friend joins the game and starts to play. Tap the x at the bottom of the screen to exit the instructions.

Select an invite button. The yellow invite button will generate a link you can share, and the blue invite button will send a Facebook invite. When tapping the yellow share button, you can opt to send the link to a contact directly via text message or other messaging app.
