Choose a character, book, or couple you want to write about. Consider researching that person or people to get a good understanding of their personality/personalities. Sometimes it can even give you ideas for the story itself.
Once you know who you want to write about, come up with a plot for your story. This could help you with ideas and reduce writers block.
Know the rules of grammar, and use them. It will make the writing flow so much better, and it makes your story so much easier to understand. Not many people will want to read a story with many grammar errors, even if it's a good story.
Don't fast-forward through the story. If you do not fully examine your themes and ideas, your story will go by too quickly, and people will get bored with what they are reading. Make sure to spread your story out and give it enough space.
Take your time! If you rush it, you may run out of ideas, and you also won't enjoy yourself. Schedule your writing and always take breaks.
Look over, proofread, and edit your work before you publish it. Ideally, have another reader look it over.
When you have finished, make sure to publish it so people can read your story. If you haven't finished yet, then make sure to publish a chapter once in a while (maybe even every day if you are motivated enough) in order to keep readers updated and let them know you are still writing. You don't want to lose readers this way.
Do not let hate comments get to you. They don't boost help your self confidence. If mean commenters bother you too much, block them, and always ignore them.
