Selena Gomez is basking in love. The American singer-songwriter has fallen for music producer Benny Blanco. On December 7, the 31-year-old confirmed that she was dating Benny through a celebrity fan page named PopFaction’s Instagram. Later on, she dropped an Instagram story, featuring herself and the Eastside music producer, sporting a ‘B’ initial ring. Fans have been going gaga over the new pair, showering the two celebrities with congratulatory messages. Amid this, in a recent interaction with Vogue Mexico y Latinoamerica, Selena revealed that her relationship priorities have changed over the years. Now, she wants to be attracted to the “right kind of people.”
During the conversation, Selena Gomez shared, “Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people.” In her words, it meant being in a relationship where both partners held space for each other and had mutual respect towards one another. The Rare Beauty Founder continued that it was difficult to find someone who was ready to listen to you and care for you. Without name-dropping her current beau aka Benny Blanco she added, “But I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy.”

Selena Gomez, who was previously linked to Justin Bieber and The Weekend, however, admitted that she does not regret her past relationships. In fact, she is a strong believer that everything happens for a reason. She said, “I always try to say: ‘What’s the lesson here? I want to learn the lesson and I want to grow from this.” Wanting to get over the challenging phases of life was what she wanted to experience.
In December, PopFaction shared a picture of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco on their official Instagram handle. Commenting on the photo, Selena wrote, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.” Her comment fuelled the dating rumours with the official announcement coming shortly afterwards.

Although Selena Gomez might have been dating Benny Blanco for the last six months, she had known the music producer for eight years, reports People. Benny was a friend of Justin Bieber. In 2015, the couple joined forces for Selena’s Revival tracks — Kill Em With Kindness and Same Old Love. In 2019, the duo collaborated on the I Can’t Get Enough song. Not only did Benny produce the song, but the 35-year-old even sang the song’s English-Spanish version alongside J Balvin and Tainy.
