Although Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s families are yet to react to the estranged couple’s divorce, a source close to Priyanka Chopra has revealed that the actress is maintaining a distance from divorce news. The actress, who is married to Joe Jonas’ younger brother Nick Jonas, is said to be close to Sophie Turner. The J-sisters (as Priyanka once called them) were often photographed together at Jonas Brothers concerts and games. However, Priyanka has remained silent during Joe and Sophie’s divorce process and if the source is anything to go by, Priyanka might be tight-lipped about the split.
A source, a close friend of Priyanka, told KoiMoi that Priyanka is close to Sophie but she doesn’t discuss the divorce with her. “PC is not the sort to poke her nose in others’ affairs. This is a sensitive issue. Apparently, there has never been a divorce in the Jonas family. They are very concerned. But they have decided to let Joe and Sophie deal with it. Priyanka is very close to Sophie. But the divorce topic remains taboo between the two sisters-in-law,” the source claimed.
An insider also told Life & Style that Priyanka is torn between Joe and Sophie in their divorce. “She and Sophie were very close. There was once a time Sophie thought she and Joe would move to London and so would Nick and Priyanka. Priyanka loves Sophie and her nieces and doesn’t want to do anything to jeopardize them being in her life,” the grapevine claimed.
Priyanka is yet to comment about the report or the divorce.
Joe and Sophie issued a joint statement last month, confirming that they are parting ways. “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” their joint statement read.
