Matthew Perry Death: Maggie Wheeler, Who Played Janice on Friends, REACTS; Says 'I Feel So...'

Matthew Perry died at age of 54 on Saturday and Maggie Wheeler was the first Friends star to react to his death. The actress played the role of Janice on Friends and was cast as on and off girlfriend of Chandler (played by Matthew). Taking to Instagram, Maggie shared a picture of the two from one of their episodes and penned a tribute in his memory. She said that the world will miss him and that his legacy will live on.

“What a loss.The world will miss you Mathew Perry . The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared,” Maggie wrote. Fans took to the comments section to join her in paying tribute to Matthew. “Watching friends for the first time and falling in love with chandler bing is something i will forever hold dearly. one of the best characters on television, and one of the best actors to play it. im beyond distraught. matthew perry was too young. this is heartbreaking,” a fan wrote.

“I’m sorry Maggie. We are grieving right there with you,” added another. “Bing-a-ling forever ❤️,” a third user wrote, referring to the nickname Janice gave to Chandler on the show.

The shocking news of his death was first reported by TMZ followed by Los Angeles Times. As per reports, Matthew was found dead at his LA home on Saturday evening, October 28. It is reported that he was found dead in his jacuzzi at home. Initial reports claim that he died of apparent drowning. An official statement about Matthew’s cause of death is yet to be made by the LA Police or the family. No sign of foul play and no drugs were found at the scene has been reported. It has been reported that the first responders were called in to the residence for cardiac arrest.
