Vinicius Junior Receives Offer From Saudi Club; Real Madrid Star Yet To Take A Decision
Reports have claimed that a delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund approached Vinicius and his agent on behalf of the country’s Ministry of Sport.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has reportedly attracted a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia. With the summer transfer window inching towards its closure, Vinicius and his entourage have not yet said no to the proposal, as reported by ESPN Brazil.

Earlier some other media outlets had claimed that the Brazilian star was not interested in shifting his base to the Middle East. The Athletic claimed that a delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund approached Vinicius and his agent on behalf of the country’s Ministry of Sport. They wanted the 24-year-old to become the face of the Saudi Pro League ahead of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Saudi Arabia is yet to acquire the hosting rights for the mega event but no other parties have so far contested their bid. The final decision will be made at the FIFA Congress, scheduled for December 11.

Despite being reportedly offered a hefty salary by the Saudi delegation, Vinicius Junior remains committed to Real Madrid, as per The Athletic. In 2022, Vinicius extended his stay at the Spanish capital until 2027 and his new contract with the Los Blancos features a staggering release clause of €1 billion.

Only a few days after the report emerged, ESPN Brazil revealed that Vinicius Junior has not yet closed the doors on the Saudi offer. “Vinicius has not yet said ‘no’ to the offer from Saudi Arabia. They are offering him an annual salary of €350m, and Vinícius has not yet rejected the offer. The Saudis are talking to Real Madrid,” read a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Real Madrid is unlikely to leave Vinicius Junior at this stage of his career. His entourage feels that the Saudi outfit will try to negotiate his release clause with the Spanish club in a bid to complete the signing, according to Madrid Universal. Vinicius, however, earlier revealed that he wanted to spend his entire career at Real Madrid.

In the next campaign, Vinicius Junior will link up with Kylian Mbappe to lead the Real Madrid attack. The duo is expected to be seen in action when the reigning Champions League winners take on Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup final on August 15.
