Fallen former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has appealed against a six year-ban from football activities to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the tribunal announced Thursday.
Blatter is seeking to overturn a FIFA appeal committee ruling in February that he was guilty of misconduct over a $2 million payment made to UEFA boss Michel Platini but which cut his ban from eight years to six.
"Mr Blatter seeks the annulment of the decision taken by the FIFA appeal committee in which he was suspended from all football-related activities at national and international level for six years," said a CAS statement.
Platini has also appealed against his six year ban.
