Germany midfielder Toni Kroos might be focused in his team's bid to win Euro 2016 but he made sure he didn't forget about the promise he made to India's Test skipper Virat Kohli, who is a big fan of the German team.
Ahead of Euro 2016, Virat took to social micro-blogging site Twitter to reveal that he would be cheering for Germany. Kohli donned the German jersey and had 18 on his back, the same number he wears while playing in Indian colours.
Reacting to the jersey number on Kohli's back, Kroos promised to send him a special gift.
The 26-year-old central midfielder was true to his word as he sent Kohli a signed jersey. Kohli acknowledged as much in a tweet soon after receiving the gift he would surely cherish.
Thank You @ToniKroosSending a present for you as well. All The Best for the quarters ???? #FirstNeverFollows #Euro16 pic.twitter.com/DPcY3sYpFn— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) June 27, 2016
