Arsene Wenger is splashing money this season for Arsenal and The Gunners might battle for Manchester City's Micah Richards - if Bacary Sagna fails to agree a new deal at Arsenal, as per reports.
30-year-old Sagna had joined Arsenal from Auxerre six years ago and with one year of his contract left, the French international is yet renew his contract.
But the 30-year-old is rubbishing all claims "We are still talking about a new contract and the fact is I am still at Arsenal. I never said I wanted to leave but there are some who want to speculate as I have just a year to go," he said as quoted by www.dailystar.co.uk.
But if Sagna leaves, Arsene Wenger has his eyes on the 25-yar-old Richards who can play both as a right-back and center-back. Last season Richards was out with a knee injury and played just seven games and even in the upcoming season, a regular place is the playing XI will be a far cry for the lad from Leeds with international players like Pablo Zabaleta and Maicon ahead of him in the pecking order.
