National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad, also known as Rockstar DSP, shined in New York this weekend. The singer-music composer performed at the Modi And US event, in New York, which witnessed thousands of people in attendance. Not only did he leave the audiences enthralled with his performances on his chartbusters, but he also held everyone’s attention as he sang ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ with Hanumankind and Aditya Gadhvi to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the stage.
In a video that went viral, PM Modi and DSP were seen exchanging greetings and a warm hug. Talking about his experience of performing in front of PM Modi, DSP said, “Super happy to be part of this huge event of welcoming honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi to New York.”

He added, “The day I got the opportunity to compose Har Ghar Tiranga, it is something that I can’t express in words. I put my heart and soul into composing the song. And today, getting this amazing opportunity to sing this song to welcome Shri Narendra Modi was an iconic and most cherished moment of my life. The way he greeted me with a warm and he gave me a warm, lovable hug is something I will never forget in my entire life. Thank you so much Shri Modi ji. You are such a huge inspiration for all of us, to the nation and the entire world.”
The New York performance comes ahead of his upcoming India Tour. The musical journey is scheduled to kickstart in Hyderabad on October 19 this year. The pan-India composer is currently looking forward to an interesting line-up. Fans are waiting to witness his music from Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, Dhanush’s ‘Kubera’, Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Thandel’, Ajith Kumar’s ‘Good Bad Ugly’, and Ram Charan’s untitled film.
